The Visayas Blogging Summit 2011 (VBS 2011), now on its 2^nd run after the rist VBS held in Iloilo City last November 27 and 28, 2010. For this year, the head organizer for the event is the Cebu Bloggers Society, Inc. (CBSi), a blogging organization duly registered under the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). With their co-organizers, namely: SM City Cebu and Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI), the organizers will be presenting the 2^nd Visayas Blogging Summit 2011 matched by this year’s theme, “Blogging and Beyond”.

The theme aims to encourage community participation and will highlight the value of blogging as a potent tool in the community development as well as motivate the existing bloggers of today to continue one’s endeavors in promoting good and quality online publishing.

It has been officially announced that the event is scheduled to be held on November 26, 2011 (Saturday) at SM City Cebu from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. This year’s summit will be gathering at least 300 bloggers nationwide, coming from different sectors of the society: students, professionals, businessmen and even government officials and many more.

With this in mind, the VBS 2011 is truly an event-not-to-be-missed for the fact that the diverse people with diverse backgrounds but have common ideals which is to help promote a quality online publishing through blogging will be all gathered and convened in one place.

The VBS 2011 organizers are having their best foot in the realization of providing world-class speakers by delivering talks divided into segments to the participants of the event that will help improve their artistic involvement and usage of the various forms of social media.

Through the segmented talks designed by the organizers, a more interactive learning experience will be expected by the participants. The topics for the segmented talks include: Personal and Professional Blogging, Social Media Marketing and Social Media Responsibility.
